THE MISSION STATEMENT OF THE SALVATION ARMY
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

The Salvation Army was founded in 1865 to help the poor, the homeless, the hungry and those in need or in crisis.  The organization arrived in El Paso County in 1889 and continues to help those in need through various programs and services. Our pledge is to “Do the Most Good” with the community’s contributions of money, time and resources. All donations remain in El Paso County to fund local assistance services. [more]
